George Manley

Death took former Yorkville resident George Manley at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Jessie Bong, 408 Spruce Street, Aurora. His death occurred Tuesday evening February 9, 1932. Mr. Manley was born April 8, 1840. He was a Civil War veteran and was a member of Yorkville Post No. 522, G. A. R.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Jessie Bong, Mrs. Thomas Jones of Lisbon, and Mrs. Harvey Harold of West Chicago; two sons, Eugene of Aurora, and Robert of San Francisco, California; eleven grandchildren, four great grandchildren; and a sister in New York.
Funeral services were held at the Healy Chapel Thursday, the Rev. Ralph M. Pierce, officiating. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery, Yorkville.
