William T. Linn

Dies in Aurora

Kendall County Record, December 26, 1917.

William Linn, for years a resident of Yorkville and the country south of here, died in his home in Aurora Monday after an illness of some duration. Last fall Mr. Linn fell and broke his hip, hastening his death.

Mr. Linn was born in Pennsylvania in 1841 and came to Kendall County with his parents in 1856, living near Plattville. He later purchased a farm for himself near Yorkville where he lived until he moved to Yorkville.

Mr. Linn enlisted in the Union army in 1862. He married Miss Ann Jackson in 1864. She with two sons and a daughter are dead. He was married again shortly before moving to Aurora some six years ago. His widow, Mrs. Stella Linn survives.

The funeral will be held from the G. A. R. hall in Aurora, Tuesday morning. Interment will be in the Plattville Cemetery.
